It is quite interesting to see the release of the Vietnam’s statistic report for the first quarter of this year.  When comparing with the rest of the countries around the world, Vietnam is one of the countries that did not have that much of an economic impact on the Country’s GDP.

According to the recent news released by vnagency.com, Vietnam is one of the top exporters of rice.  In the report, it stated that, “Rice topped the list with 1.75 million tonnes exported, fetching $785 million, an increase of 71.3 per cent in volume and 76.2 per cent in value.”

For the first time this year, with the helping hand of the community in the local area, Khmer-Krom Youth Association of Ontario was able to launch Khmer classes in Toronto at Oakdale Community Centre.

Not only that there are Khmer classes that are available in Toronto, there are also Khmer classes available in the city of Hamilton and Windsor.

The launch of this program provides the Khmer-Krom children and Khmer children alike with the learning opportunity that most parents long waited for.  For most of the children that grew up in Canadian Society have little or no knowledge of the Khmer language.

The Sunday’s program not only helps young children enhance their Cambodian reading and writing, but also they have the opportunity to learn about their unique and distinctive culture.

The program has two classes running at the same time starting with level one for beginners and level two that is more advance.
